Wanted: Photography Prop Businesses

My good friend and fellow military wife and mother of 2, Nina, has officially started her photography business where she is currently stationed in Arizona! She asked if I knew any women/businesses who make photography props (tutu's, headbands, bows, outfits, cloth diapers, backdrops, furniture, and anything else possible). She is wanting to use this in her work and to enhance her already awesome skills. In return for helping her out, she will feature you and your business in a new "Where To Shop" section on her FaceBook and Webpage! Keep in mind, being a military family they move around a lot so she will be able to get the word out about your product(s) in many places as time goes on! She will also give you copyright priveledges to any photos she uses your items in, for you to use as your own advertisement!

The Royal Wedding Revisited

Who was excited about this big royal event? Not me. All I've seen on the TV the last 2 weeks has been about the royal wedding, William, and Kate. I could've cared less. Sure I watched some of it and realized what a huge day in history this is for London (and many more places), but I really didn't understand all the hype here in states! 

But when my precious little early riser woke up at 4:30am this morning, I figured "Eh, why not". So we ventured into the living room just in time to catch the last few cars arriving at Westminster Abbey! I kinda started to get excited. I mean, have you seen this remarkable church?!?!? I've never seen such a gorgeous place to be married. I've always dreamed about weddings in places like this. Not to mention, London in general is just stunning with all of it's historical landmarks and stunning buildings.

Children's Claritin: Your Pediatrician Recommends It!

I think we all know a child who suffers from allergies. Some are more sever than others, and some may be year round. Luckily, my children don't have allergies (not that I'm aware of yet anyway). However, my 3 year old son has horrible eczema and often needs allergy medicine throughout the year to help the swelling and hives he sometimes gets from all the scratching. Unfortunately I hate giving it to him because it makes him tired and cranky. Don't get me wrong, sometimes it's nice that he actual naps after taking medicine, but I prefer not to deal with his crankiness because he is a drama queen about it. Poor guy. I wish I had picture of some of his severe skin breakouts. I will admit, I had never used Claritin before signing up as a BzzAgent for their new campaign. I was quite excited to try something else that could potentially help my son during his awfully uncomfortable breakouts.

Stockpiling... Should I? Too late.

Recently, after everyone began watching TLC's Extreme Couponing there has been a lot of buzz around the web about stockpiling, and some considering it hoarding. I admit, I was one of those people. That is until I read a post from a fellow blogger, and member at WeUseCoupons.com. First of all let me say, she does put things into a different perspective for me. I realize you can have an organized functional and useful stockpile without "hoarding" or allowing it to take over your home. I actually do have a small stockpile going on a few shelves. Do I want a room in my house to become this?...

... Not really. But ya know, if I had the extra space (a basement or huge pantry), I absolutely would stock up on things while their cheap. Would I buy things I KNOW my family doesn't need or use just because it was free or cheap? Absolutely not. I feel that I wold be taking away from someone who may need it a lot more. Such as the couponer on TLC who bought tons of cat treats because she was paid to take them out of the store, even though she doesn't even own a cat! I would love nothing more than to learn extreme couponing if not to be able to donate to food banks and homeless shelters and actually be able to give back to the community. Who wouldn't love to do that!? I won't allow it to take over my house though. I don't want it seen and if I get to that point, I will let my husband step in.

I will admit, I am not a usual Cover Girl user. I have been loyal to one certain other brand for as long as I've been wearing makeup, mostly because my skin is sensitive to change. Prefense Sanitizer Review & Giveaway

Germs, germs, everywhere!!! It's a never ending cycle and with young children (even without children) you absolutely have to use precaution when doing anything or going anywhere in public. I'm no germophone but I have many friends who are and over the last 7 years when I worked in preschools, it was a HUGE deal! You could never wash hands enough or get rid of too many germs hiding all over the classroom, halls, playground, and everywhere else you could possibly imagine. But personally, I've always despised hand sanitizer for one simple reason: the nauseating smell. There is just something about that strong scent that turns my stomach. Snikiddy Snacks: A better alternative for your family! (Giveaway)

Who doesn't love a great snack.... or how about a great HEALTHY snack that you don't have to feel awful about letting your children have. Want to be a better couponer?

I have decided to really dive into couponing since watching TLC's Extreme Couponing (some of WeUseCoupons members appeared). No, I don't want to own 1000 tubes of toothpaste, or take home 45 bottles of vitamins. Why? Because I absolutely have no use for it and I honestly have nowhere to store that amount of stockpile product! However, I do want to stockpile in moderation the things I use frequently like baby food, diapers, wipes, shampoos, toilet paper, and other essentials I am always buying.

But, if you're anything like me, you have NO idea where to begin. When I first started my blog I posted a little about couponing, and only gave my general knowledge (because I don't know much) and a whole list of great sites to visit. It wasn't until last night I really started digging around on WeUseCoupons.... and WOW. This website/forum literally has everything you could possibly need to know about becoming a good couponer!

If you aren't already a member, go register right now and begin browsing the TONS and TONS of information that this awesome couponers share. They truly do want to help you learn. You can find posts daily about specific stores in your area, and the deals. This means less work on your part to get super cheap or free stuff. Sounds good to me.

Book Review: Home Ec-101

I've often had people ask me how I manage to cook, clean, be a mom, and do all the crafting and blog stuff I love to do. I tried to write a post and give tips on being super mom. But, nothing I wrote compared to this book I'm about to tell you about. This is by far as close as anyone could get to a housewife Bible! However, this could be just as useful for a college student or single mom, because it has absolutely everything you would want to know about cooking, cleaning, organizing, and generally managing a home. 

This fun and entertaining 240 page book, should absolutely be on every book shelf in every home. Heather Solos has compiled page upon page of info and tips on how to successfully be the Martha Stewart we all strive to be. Not only are all of her suggestions great, but she is quite humorous and had me giggling all throughout. This book is hardly a boring Housekeeping for Dummies sort of book. Trust me, this is one you will want to read!
